A control cable transmits push-pull motion from an operator control to a remote mechanism letting you shut down an engine, set a choke, close a valve or adjust a throttle from a distance and around bends. A control cable (or control-head cable) connects a manual input usually a T-handle or knob to a remote output via an inner cable sliding inside a rigid outer conduit. It’s a cost-effective way to mechanically operate a remote device where space is limited or rod linkage and bell cranks won’t fit. The control head is the operator handle at the input end, and the type you choose determines how the control locks, how far it travels and how precisely it adjusts.

Twist Lock
A robust, simple design with only one moving part. The T-handle travels the full length of the control until locked; a 1/8-turn in either direction secures loads up to 100 lb and unlocks with ease. Available with a 2.38″ plastic or 3.5″ metal handle.
Non Lock
Designed for remote engine shutdown/choke, latch/valve operation and many other applications. These panel- or bracket-mounted units suit light-to-moderate loads and are a cost-effective way to connect a manual input to a remote output where space is limited. Various T-handles/knobs and output end configurations are available.
Micro Adjust / Vernier
Ideal for remote operation of a throttle, regulating valve or any application needing precise adjustment. Depress the centre button to push or pull the knob for coarse travel; rotate clockwise to extend and counter-clockwise to retract, with about one inch of linear travel per four-and-a-half turns. Maximum recommended load 20 lb; normal vibration does not affect the setting, and an optional friction lock is available where vibration is excessive.
