Unidrum Lever Push-Pull & Pull-Only Hand Control

The Unidrum Lever is a compact hand-control head that operates a push-pull or pull-only cable from a lever designed primarily for hand-throttle applications on commercial and industrial vehicles, and suitable for many other remote controls. It holds and operates up to 26 lb of output load with a 5:1 mechanical advantage at the knob. TGA Cables builds Unidrum hand controls and their cables to your exact specification, supplied Australia-wide.

What is a Unidrum Lever hand control?

The Unidrum Lever is a lever-operated control head: the operator moves the lever, and the Unidrum imparts light-to-medium push-pull or pull-only loads to a remote output through a flexible conduit and inner-member. It’s most often used as a hand throttle setting and holding engine speed by hand but suits many remote control tasks where a compact, efficient hand lever is needed. A self-locking nut lets the operator set the friction, so the control stays where it’s placed.

Unidrum Lever FAQs

What is a Unidrum Lever control?

A compact hand-control head that operates a push-pull or pull-only cable from a lever  designed mainly for hand-throttle applications on commercial and industrial vehicles, and suitable for many other remote controls

What is a Unidrum Lever used for?
Mainly as a hand throttle on trucks, heavy vehicles and industrial equipment, and for other light-to-medium remote controls where an operator needs a lever to push or pull a cable.
How much load can it operate?

Up to 26 lb of push-pull or pull-only output load, with a 5:1 mechanical advantage at the knob.

How much cable travel does it give?

About 2″ of cable travel needs ~90° of lever travel, and 3″ needs ~135°. Stop plates allow 10° (~3/16″) increments, and the lever position adjusts in 60° increments.

What mounting and handle options are available?

Optional cable entry gives four mounting directions; a self-locking nut sets the friction. Available with a smaller handle (light duty) or a locking handle.

Can you supply custom or replacement Unidrum cables?

Yes, built to your spec (length, fittings, handle, mounting), and we can match replacements. Send the old unit or a photo and your requirements.
